WE never thought his extreme Scientologist views would let it happen, but it seems Tom Cruise has been filming wife Katie Holmes and their 4-year-old daughter Suri at home in hopes he can broadcast the footage to show the world what life is like in the Cruise household.

Tom is reportedly determined to show that they’re not weird just because of their Scientology beliefs. The last time Tom allowed cameras into his home, Oprah Winfrey was given the opportunity to visit him and his family in their holiday cabin in a follow-up to his couch-jumping interview.

A source close to the couple told Grazia magazine: “They want to portray themselves as a normal family who do normal things. They are aware that Katie is being perceived as ‘brainwashed’ and they want to change that.”

The 48-year-old actor reportedly got the idea to film his family after making several online slips with Cameron Diaz to promote their new film Knight and Day.

Tom wanted to release the clips online for his fans but has now received offers to turn the videos into a full reality TV series.

Another source said: “His interest began when he made spoof films with Cameron to promote Knight and Day. He’s been filming Katie and other aspects of their life for the past month.”

“The original impetus was that she would select a few personal clips to show fans but worked has got out through his agents and he is currently fielding offers from entertainment companies,” explained the source. “Tom is now deliberating what to do with his footage. No deal has been struck yet.”

But the actor has unsurprisingly insisted on having complete control of the footage and the final say on what goes to air.

“Tom places a premium on control, so he’s reluctant to commit to doing a reality TV show unless he’s 100 per cent it will reflect him and Katie in the best possible light,” said a source.
