IN a scene in the much-anticipated Sex and the City 2 movie, Sarah Jessica Parker wears an ensemble that costs a whopping US$50,000—and she’s only singing karaoke!

What was she wearing? A pair of US$4,000 embellished jeans by cult designers The Blonds, and a dramatic, gold lamé Chanel dress with a price tag of US$47,190. That doesn’t even include the shoes and the jewellery, but we’re willing to guess they cost a fair amount as well.

Costume designer Patricia Fields was reportedly given a US$10 million wardrobe budget for the movie, which she wisely spent on that red, US$5,000 The Blonds dress for Samantha, Miranda’s US$1,400 Roland Mouret dress, and Charlotte’s vintage Valentino blouse. Of course, true to her style, Patricia would’ve have added a few opt shop and high street pieces to go along with everything, but rest assured they’ll be enough fashion candy for all you clothes horses out there!
