SARAH Jessica Parker helped launch the latest Halston Heritage Collection at The Bay in Toronto on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old actress and newly-minted president and chief creative officer of the fashion label packed her bags for a trip from New York City to party at the launch, and we’re told the collection has already gone on sale on Net-a-Porter, ranging from US$195 for a metallic clutch to over US$800 for a floor-length gown.

SJP is also featured in the classic American label’s new ads — released just in time for the premiere of the Sex and the City movie sequel. Of course, she also sports some of the looks in the movie itself, as seen in the trailer.

Speaking of the upcoming SATC 2, Sarah Jessica, who plays writer Carrie Bradshaw, says filming is “going beautifully”.

“I was really pleased with how the first film turned out,” she said in a recent interview.

“I just thought everybody was wonderful and everybody’s work and the important contribution they made was fantastic.”

“This one is going beautifully. Funnily enough, I think everybody, specifically among the cast, wants to be here that much more this time. I feel for some reason, all of us are much closer on the sequel.”

Sex and the City 2 hits theatres in the US on May 28.
