SHE’s only recently found out she’s pregnant but Dannii Minogue is set to take the potentially risky step of allowing television cameras into her life for a six-part reality series.
Several UK reports state she is in discussions with ITV to make a fly-on-the-wall series detailing how she and partner Kris Smith cope with her pregnancy. The series is slated to air from June.
The last such show to receive airtime in the UK was What Katie Did Next, featuring Katie Price and Peter Andre who were filmed fighting as their once-solid marriage unravelled into one of the most public splits in years.
Minogue will reportedly be paid about $400,000 for the series.
The Herald Sun reports former Tonight Live host Steve Vizard may be playing cameraman, capturing footage for the six-part series.
Vizard, who in 2005 was banned from being a company director for 10 Â years and fined $390,000 for trading shares based on inside information he gained from his position as a Telstra director, was seen working with Minogue and a film crew in Chapel St, South Yarra last month.
“I saw Dannii, Steve and a cameraman in a souvenir shop a couple of weeks ago and they said they were filming something for a British TV show,” said a source.
Meanwhile, Minogue and Smith don’t know the sex of their impending child but do know there’s only one.
“We know it’s not twins,” she said in an interview.
“The doctor said this morning that there’s only one in there and Kris and I both sighed with relief.”
