ACADEMY Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz has reportedly been cast to play Jackie O in an upcoming film directed by her husband, Darren Aronofsky.

The script describes what it was like for the late first lady to deal with husband ex-American president John F Kennedy’s death in the four days following his assisination in 1963.

While Rachel hasn’t officially talked about the role yet, Entertainment Weekly reports that she was recently brought on board for the big-screen film, which is currently being called Jackie.

The British actress seems to fit the bill though — she’s certainly got the acting chops and she has an eerie resemblance to the fashion icon. Rachel won an Oscar for her role in the 2005 film The Constant Gardener and previously worked with her husband on his 2006 film The Fountain.
