AUSSIE darling Nicole Kidman took time to honour Tinseltown’s most talented costume designers at the Costume Designers Guild Awards in Los Angeles, wearing turquoise slingbacks to her rust-coloured Lanvin sheath.

Nicole paid tribute to Nine director Rob Marshall, who she warded with the Distinguished Collaborator Award, while fellow import Emily Blunt presented her Young Victoria costume designer Sandy Powell with the award for achievement in film.

Sandy, who also won an Academy Award for her efforts, said before receiving her CDG award: “When you know you’re being honoured and you’re going to have to go up and say something…I’m not very prepared!”

The British designer was also award the Lacoste Career Achievement in Film award that same night.
