WHO knew one day Marky Mark would be honoured in a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

With friends and family watching close by, Oscar-nominated Mark Wahlberg finally got his own Hollywood star this morning, honouring his work as an actor and producer.

His co-star from upcoming comedy The Other Guys, Will Ferrell, addressed the crowd before Mark was handed the commemorative plaque for his achievement.

“I’m glad to be here,” said Will. “I first became a fan of Mark’s when I bought his workout video. And I love all your Bourne movies.”

But the funnyman’s jokes stopped there as he described the 39-year-old husband and father of four “not only one of the hardest-working guys, but a great family man and a great dude”.

Mark posed for photographs with his wife Rhea Durham and daughters Ella Rae and Grace Margaret, and sons Michael and Brendan Joseph. His star is the 2,414th addition to the famed attracted and is located off the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.
