Plus size model in V Magazine

V Magazine's January 2010 "Size Issue" featured plus-size models in their fashion spreads.

A recent survey by an Australian magazine has discovered that women are much more comfortable in their skin than we are led to believe.

The average Australian woman is a healthy size 14 and has a BMI of about 24. While almost a lot of us still don’t think our bodies are perfect, 66 per cent of those surveyed claim they would rather be big and healthy than skinny and unhealthy.

A whole 89 per cent of Australian women refuse to go to bed hungry (as has been recommended by several best-selling diet books), and 73 per cent do not count calories and eat what they like.

Unfortunately, there is a downside to the findings, with a whopping 64 per cent wanting to lose at least 5 kg off our frames.
