SHE’S no Paris Hilton, and thank God for that! Lindsay Lohan chose to do the right thing after being released from jail—to downplay her departure from the Century Regional Detention Facility as much as possible.

After 14 days in prison, Lindsay was deemed to have satisfied the completion of her jail sentence and was released at 1.35am on Monday, August 2. And despite the rumours that she had requested a team of stylists to make her departure camera-worthy, the paparazzi left with zero photos of her exit.

The actress’ entourage went as far as to plant decoys, in fact, so that the 24-year-old child star could exit out through the back door of the jail and make her way to the UCLA Medical Centre as covertly as possible. Two black SUVs actually left the jail a half hour before Lindsay actually left her cell, according to RadarOnline.

“In an elaborate plot to diffuse media interest, two black Cadillac Escalades drove from Lynwood to the high-end residential facility Morningside Recovery in Orange County, where Lohan had been slated to check-in,” claimed the website.

“The [decoy] driver went so far as to call police to call off paparazzi from following the decoy,” said another site, X17.

In fact, she wasn’t heading anywhere near Morningside and was delivered to the UCLA Medical Centre, under Judge Marsha Revel’s orders to report to a treatment facility within 24 hours.

“Per a court order she has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment center,” said LA Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore. “She is now under the supervision of the LA County Probation Department. This concludes her custody.”

This also means that Lindsay got the chance to hug her mother before starting rehab, which is more than we thought Judge Revel would accord her.

“I was finally able to hug my daughter [last night] after two long weeks of speaking to her from behind a glass wall,” said mum Dina Lohan to RadarOnline. “Lindsay is doing well and is appreciative of the hundreds of well-wishes she has received.”

“Lindsay is with the utmost professionals and is in very good hands,” added the supportive mum.
