Lady Gaga & OprahLADY Gaga‘s appearance on Friday’s episode of Oprah got a few fans upset after she had cancelled a number of shows just days before.

The flamboyant singer had cancelled her performance at Indiana’s Perdue University on Thursday after she collapsed on the day and was unable to shake her dizziness and breathing difficulties. The next day, she cancelled three more upcoming performances after her doctor advised her to take a few days off, but appeared on Oprah’s infamous talk show to talk shop.

Gaga posted on her Twitter page that on-site paramedics at Perdue warned her her heart rate was irregular as a result of exhaustion and dehydration. The cancellation was announced after the two opening acts has already performed, sorely disappointing the sold-out crowd, according to E! Online.

On Oprah, the singer spoke at length about her career and upbringing, and discussed the symbolism of some of her outrageous outfits. She also insisted that Oprah call her Gaga, and not Lady Gaga, and presented the talk show host with one of her signature hair bows and Lennon-style sunglasses.

But the fans shouldn’t be too hard on the “Bad Romance” singer. It seems Gaga was equally devastated by the last-minute change of plans.
“I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite,” said a Tweet on Thursday.

“I can’t apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage.”

“I have performed with a flu, a cold, strep throat” she adds. “I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort.”

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me.”

We hope for your sake they will too, Gaga.
