SEX and the City 2 will open in the US on Thursday, and we can’t imagine we’re the only ones watching the trailer over and over again hoping to find something we didn’t the first time. But what do that stars think about it?

Kim Cattrall, who plays sex pot Samantha Jones in the series, said she was so impressed with the script when she first read it, an expletive was required to express her true opinion!

She said: “I read the script and I sent director Michael Patrick King a text. I used two words that began with ‘F’ and the second was ‘fabulous’. I said to him, ‘You’ve done it. You’ve really taken what was so fabulous about the series and what we needed to do in the first movie— which was to set everything up again—and brought something so fresh and new to Sex and the City 2. I think what we’ve gone back to is just seeing the girls.”

The 53-year-old will be joined once again by co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, this time on a fantasy journey to Abu Dhabi.

Kim said the sequel will give audience a chance to “have some fun”.

“It’s a fish out of water, it’s a road picture, it’s fun. And we need to have some fun right now, you know things are rough out there for so many people,” she said. “This is a joyous movie about women having a fantastic time. Also dealing with life issues but also having a lot of fun. I read it and I went, ‘Phew. It’s really good and funny’.”
