IN a nod to London Fashion Week, Elle “The Body” Macpherson was spotted out an about in the city wearing jeans slashed all the way up her thighs, complete with a Union Jack showing through. The Australian supermodel had just dropped off her youngest son Aurelius to school, sporting her £250 Hudson skinny jeans with knee-high boots, a ribbed jacket with an asymmetric zip-front, a blue scarf and oversized sunnies.

Not one to be put off by the bad weather, she even walked home by herself in the rain, apparently not tempted by a taxi or public transport.

Earlier last month, Elle was announced as Lisa Snowdon’s replacement on reality show Britain’s Next Top Model.

As well as presiding over 25 wannabes battling it out for a modelling contract, the model and lingerie designer has also turned her hand to a charity campaign which aims to increase the awareness of cervical cancer.

She lends her support to Wellbeing of Women, which funds screenings and vaccinations for women in the UK, urging them to visit their doctor for regular health checks.

Speaking about the campain, Elle said: “Many women don’t take time out to be checked routinely, sometimes choosing to ignore it or worry about being checked.”

“It’s easy to think: ‘It won’t happen to me,’ or ‘I don’t want to know what’s going on’.”

“The fact is, I always feel better after going to see the doctor for my regular checks. I know that I’m okay and that I’ve been responsible and faced my fears. Please get checked, ladies.”
