1. TiK ToK – Ke$ha
Co-written by Ke$ha, Benny Blanco and Dr Luke, “TiK ToK” was officially released digitally on August 7 last year and debuted on radiowaves worldwide later in October.
In recent weeks, the song had spawned a parody version sung by British band The Midnight Beast. It was released in YouTube in December and can bought as a single in the iTunes store.
Kesha has heard and commented on the band’s version, tweeting: “holy. shit. this is better than my version.”
Funny enough, we agree!

2. Bad Romance – Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga never fails to impress with her alien fashion sense and Euro-tinged beats, but her Grammy performance last Sunday was a little tame for our tastes.
We were, firstly, disappointed that she did not perform “Bad Romance,” which has remained in the top 5 for 8 weeks now. Instead, she performed a lacklustre version of “Poker Face” and moved to a dull duet with fellow flamboyant legend Elton John.
Nonetheless, this irresistible hit promises to remain in the charts at least until the video for “Telephone” with Beyonce goes viral on the Internet.

3. BedRock – Young Money featuring Lloyd
We’re totally surprised with this entry from Young Blood entering the Top 5 this week, what with the grating voice and embarrassing video that encapsulates the entire wannabe-hip-hop-star posse at the moment.
This is the second single by the rap group that counts Lil Wayne, Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga and Jae Millz amongst the group. The group features R&B singer Lloyd on several of their tracks.

4. Imma Be – The Black Eyed Peas
BEP took pride in performing their newest single at the Grammy Awards, leaving the fans wanting more. And there’s actually a lot more to be had from what we heard on Sunday. The slow hip-hop groove moves into a full-on dance track midway through and lends itself a popular lead on many a DJ turntable.
Most recently, PopMatters gave the song a positive review: “Highlights of the album include “Imma Be,” which despite the repetition of the title no less than 105 times (which make it start to sound like ‘I’m a bee’ after a while), takes a really interesting path from hip-hop attitude to club hit to jazz romp that holds up well to repeated listens.”

5. Sexy Chick – David Guetta featuring Akon
The ‘clean’ version of “Sexy Bitch” has no doubt helped French maestro David Guetta triumph at this year’s Grammy awards night in Los Angeles. He won an early award for best remixed recording for his smash single with Kelly Rowland on “When Love Takes Over”.
The DJ was also nominated for five other awards but failed to take home any of them. But he was clearly still happy about it.
“I’m not a real trained musician, and I cannot write music [but] I got five nominations so it means that finally the DJ culture and the dance culture is growing in America, so thank you for seeing that,” the Frenchman gushed.
