LOOKS like stars have their off days too.

Apparently, Lady Gaga had to be coaxed out of her dressing room for her performance at the Costume Institute Gala—by none other than talkshow queen Oprah Winfrey.

The “Telephone” singer hid backstage on Monday night before her performance—in front of some of the biggest fashion and Hollywood names, we might add—and needed Oprah to help her overcome her nerves.

“She literally wouldn’t come out,” said a source to the New York Post.

“Friends tried, Warner Music executive Lyor Cohen tried, no dice. Eventually, Vito Schnabel came over and got artist Terence Koh on the phone to talk to her, which helped. Koh and Oprah were the ones who finally coaxed her out.”

Gaga finally performed at the gala dinner, keeping to the promise she made to US Vogue editor Anne Wintour that she would not drop the f-bomb or other profanities on stage.

“I’ll never forget when Anna Wintour called me to play at this event. She called me and said, ‘I would like you to play at the Met gala, but I just want to make sure, because I’ve seen you perform before, that you won’t be swearing during the performance.’ So Anna, I will do my f*cking best!” joked Gaga.

And she did, singing “Bad Romance” while sporting new grey locks and a strategically-sequinned body suit.
