FOR all those of you who always thought Carrie should have married Aidan, you’re going to love the news we have for you!

Actor John Corbett announced yesterday on The Ellen Degeneres show that he will once again return to the set of Sex and the City as the beloved Aidan Shaw, making hearts everywhere flutter once again.

According to UsMagazine.com, Corbertt said: “These rumors started about seven months ago because somebody took a picture of me in Morocco,” referring to where part of the film was shot.

“I felt really bad because for the last six months everytime somebody said, are you in this movie? I had to lie about it. I just found out I’m going to be in the trailer so I get to break the news… Aidan gets to come back to Sex and the City,” he added.

Unfortunately, that’s all we have for now — John didn’t go into any detail about the plotlines and where Aidan fits in all the mayhem, but perhaps that should satisfy all those Carrie and Aidan fans after all.

Sex and the City 2 will premiere on May 27 in the US.
